UNITY, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Unity Township couple is charged with child endangerment, accused of trapping their son in a closet.A criminal complaint says Shawn and Tammy Jo Waulk put their 9-year-old in a closet, drilled wooden slats across the door and went to a birthday party for an hour and a half.
When police responded to the home on a tip from the Westmoreland County Children and Youth Services, the boy said he had been locked in the closet on three other occasions.
The couple are schedule to have a preliminary hearing next month.
