HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Dr. Rachel Levin, Pennsylvania Department of Health Secretary, updated the number of those with COVID-19 on Tuesday afternoon.

As of March 24 at midnight, there are 851 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus.


While a large number of those cases are on the Eastern side of the state, numbers are rapidly increasing in the Southwestern Part of the state.

There are 58 cases and two deaths in Allegheny, three in Beaver, nine in Westmoreland, two in Fayette, 11 in Westmoreland, six in Butler, one in Armstrong, two in Mercer, one in Somerset and one in Cambria.

That is a total of 94 cases and two deaths in the Southwestern part of PA.

There are also four cases in Erie County.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Allegheny is the only county under a two-week Stay-At-Home order from Governor Tom Wolf.
