PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - If you’re summer vacation plans have been ruined due to the coronavirus outbreak, there is one way you can get out on the water and enjoy a small slice of paradise.

Cruisin’ Tikis Pittsburgh announced they were resume their cruises on June 1.

In a post on Facebook, Cruisin’ Tikis says they are taking social distancing to a “tropical” level.

The company says they have taken several steps in line with federal and local health guidelines.

They include the following policies:

  • Until further notice, we will no longer provide a cooler, bagged ice, or bottled water. Guests are encouraged and welcome to bring their own coolers to insure the safety of our captains and guests.
  • Our tiki boats will be cleaned and disinfected at the start of the day, and will be cleaned and sanitized in between cruises. This will include the bar area, bar stools, and railings.
  • Our captains will adhere to social distancing guidelines whenever possible. Be aware that they may need to move about the tiki boat during the cruise to ensure the safety of all guests while on board.
  • Our captains will be required to wear protective masks while guests are on board.

A reopening special is being offered for parties up to six people for all of June.

There will also be two pick up locations this summer, the original North shore location near PNC Park and a newly added landing and marina at Station Square.
