Curbside Mixed Drinks To Be Available Soon In Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Governor Tom Wolf announced Tuesday that he intends to sign a bill that would allow certain bars and restaurants to sell curbside cocktails.

"I do plan to sign it," said Wolf of House Bill 327. "I think it was passed I think unanimously in both chambers of the general assembly so I will sign that."


In order to sell mixed drinks to-go, restaurants and bar owners would have to place the drinks in sealed containers.

Drinks would also have to be transported in the trunk or back seat of the customer's vehicle, away from all passengers.

Hotels and restaurants with a liquor license hat have lost over 25 percent of their average monthly sales due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be allowed to sell the alcoholic dinks.

Containers no more than 64 ounces will be sold at a time.

Many beer distributors in the area already sell frozen alcoholic slushy drinks.
