PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) On yesterday's KDKA Morning Show with Larry Richert and Kevin Battle, they had on Allegheny Health Network's Internal Medicine Clinician Dr. Brian Lamb on to discuss the Coronavirus.
Dr. Lamb urges people not to panic or worry right now.
He understands that it is normal to be afraid when there is so much information and misinformation being put out.
Coronavirus and the flu may be similar by way of a repertory infection and fever as part of the symptoms, but the COVID-19 is in a different family of virus.
The mortality rate of the Coronavirus is skewed because the numbers only come from confirmed cases and there has not been widespread testing to confirm more cases.
Hospitals and doctors are taking on more protocol and additional safety actions to keep the spread to a minimum.
Dr. Lamb wants people to not panic and wash your hands, stay home when you are sick, and avoid people who are sick.
