(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Eat’n Park is reopening its doors for dine-in in almost all of its Pennsylvania restaurants on Friday, June 5.The only three locations that will not be opening on June 5 are Center Township, Chippewa, and Erie. While in-restaurant options will be available, there will be different procedures that Eat’n Park will adhere to promote safety and cleanliness for patrons. The following measures will be set into effect for dine-in service:
  • One-way entrances and exits will be laid out
  • Social distancing prompts and floor indicators will also be put in
  • Plexiglass barriers at registers between customers and employees
  • Limited dine-in seating to remain conscious of social distancing
  • One-time-use, paper menus
  • Smaller waiting area capacity to reduce the number of people in crowds (some customers will be asked to wait in their vehicles)

As for Eat’n Park’s employees, they have been retrained to utilize new sanitization, cleaning, safety, and hand washing procedures and will also be wearing masks. The employees will be using a new COVID-centric sanitizer in the restaurants; hand sanitizing stations have been installed for customers’ usage, as well.Additionally, every hour, employees will clean and sanitize “touchpoints” — door handles, touch screens, restrooms.Eat’n Park’s fruit-soup-salad bar will not be opening at this point, in accordance with state mandates. The reopened locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
