PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) An employee at the Crafton Amazon facility has tested positive for Coronavirus, confirmed by spokeswoman Rachael Lighty.
Amazon has expected to spend at least $4 billion in coronavirus-related initiatives to ensure the safety of their workers.
“Our top concern is ensuring the health and safety of our employees…” Lighty said.
According to official, all workers at the Crafton facility have been notified of the positive case.
Company wide, Amazon has been enforcing social distancing guidelines for their employees.
This includes wearing masks, gloves, and maintaining a distance between workers.
Spaying and wiping commonly used areas, and keeping chairs separated in break rooms have also been added to the practice.
“We are supporting the individual who is recovering,” Lighty said.
