Fatal Accidents Around The Area Claim Two Lives

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - There were two fatal accidents around the Pittsburgh area Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning.

In Washington County, Route 980 was closed for several hours after a fatal accident.

One person was killed in the single-vehicle crash in Cecil Township around 3 a.m.

In the Hill District, a man died on Tuesday night after a motorcycle accident.

32-year-old Darelle Williams was driving the cycle on Milwaukee Street when he crashed at Bryn Mawr Road around 7:30 p.m. He died at UPMC Presbyterian.

On Wednesday morning an accident closed part of Route 8 in Shaler Township.

The affected area is Spencer Lane Extension. Motorists are advised to use Butler Plank Road and Mt. Royal Boulevard as a detour.

There is no work yet on any injuries in that accident.
