PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death of an emaciated 14-year-old boy in Mercer County. In a release, State Police say they were called to a home on District Road in Delaware Township around 11 a.m. Thursday for an unresponsive 14-year-old boy.
The child was deemed deceased by EMS when they arrived on the scene.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, but police say during an initial investigation the victim appeared in poor health and underweight.
The teen's father, 33-year-old Antonio Gonzalez, and 28-year-old Paul Bacorn have been charged in the case.
Gonzalez faces a multitude of charges including Criminal Homicide and Concealing the Death of a Child. Bacorn faces charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Conspiracy.
Both men were being held in the Mercer County Jail and were arraigned on Friday.
