PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A clinical waste disposal worker is considered one the Most Disgusting Jobs in the World, according to carreeraddict.com. In other words, the job is to drive around and pick up roadkill.
Paul McIntyre, owner of Big Daddy Wildlife Removal, joined KDKA Radio on Friday to explain what it is like to work in that field.
"I'm contracted to go out and remove dead dear off the road, dead raccoons, dead skunks, deer's impaled on fences; we do all that wildlife removal stuff," McIntyre tells KDKA Radio.
He used to work in the animal control business which led to the start of Big Daddy Wildlife Removal.
"I worked for somebody for 32 years, and then they closed up and went under," McIntyre said.
"At the time, the townships knew me, and I was a good person to them. So they asked me if I would do all of their wildlife removal for them."
When it comes to disposing of them…
"We pick them all up, they come back to our business, and they go in to a big walk in freezer. Once we get a load of them, we take them out to Seneca Valley Landfill,"
He started the business a little more than ten years ago.
