PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic hit Allegheny County, the county's Health Department will alert county emergency services on locations with a confirmed COVID-19 patient.
The alert will be entered into the 9-1-1 call system so first responders can be prepared with protective equipment.
The alert will be removed after 30 days.
A statement says only addresses, not names will be entered.
First responders are advised that every address should be treated as a potential COVID-19 case.
