Flags Burned At War Memorial In Garfield

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Police are investigating after two American flags were torn down at the Garfield War Memorial, doused with lighter fluid, thrown  in a pile of leaves and then lit them on fire.

The incident happened on October 15 around 5:00 a.m.

The Garfield War Memorial pays tribute to World War II, Korea and Vietnam War veterans.

Police continue to investigate.
