PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Public Parking Authority of Pittsburgh says that while a flood advisory has not yet been issued for the Ohio River they are prohibiting parking in some areas of the Mon Wharf Tuesday.

Parking along the lower planter wall will be prohibited Tuesday.

The current hydrology forecast shows the potential for flooding from Tuesday evening through Thursday morning.

Officials recommend that all vehicles be removed by Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Updates will be made available throughout the week.

A Flood Watch is issued for a portion of the Mon River.

The National Weather Service says significant rain tonight through Wednesday, with heavy rain upstream resulting in rises to near or above flood stage at Charleroi and Elizabeth.

It's just a flood watch at this point, to raise awareness of those living in those areas.
