PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — The flush and boil water advisory for Mount Washington and Duquesne Heights is over, but the advisory remains in effect for Western neighborhoods including West End, Elliott, Westwood and Ridgemont.

The precautionary advisory was issued Tuesday after a 16” water main break on Shaler St.

Check the impacted area on this interactive map.

Water buffaloes with potable water remain at the following locations:

  • Pittsburgh Fire Bureau Station #30, 916 Steuben St.
  • Pittsburgh Fire Bureau Station #31, 3000 Chartiers Ave.
  • 1717 Hethlon Street
  • Intersection of Springfield and Hamburg Streets

Customers who have not used their water in several days may initially notice discolored water. If so, they should run their cold water starting at the lowest fixture in the home until it runs clear.
