Gas Prices continue to fall around the Pittsburgh Area

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Gas Prices continue to fall and gasoline locally is two cents cheaper than last week.

According to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report, the average price for a gallon of gas in Western PA is $2.12.

That’s pretty low but one in four gas stations in the United States are selling fuel at $1.49 or less.

Oil futures plunged below zero on Monday, the latest never-before-seen number to come out of the economic coma caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

With so many people at home in quarantine, have let to fill up their gas tank since the coronavirus came to Pennsylvania last month.

Gas prices are under $2 in the Meadville and Sharon areas.
