HARRISBURG (KDKA Radio) - Governor Tom Wolf confirmed that two presumptive cases of coronavirus are in Pennsylvania now.
“We anticipated this very scenario and have been preparing for Pennsylvanians to become impacted by this virus,” Governor Wolf said. “This is not the first rapidly-spreading virus we have faced in our commonwealth and it will not be the last. We are prepared to mitigate the spread of this virus.”
One individual is from Delaware County and the second is from Wayne County.
Both afflicted individuals are adults and have sequestered themselves in their homes.
Both individuals had also been traveling abroad to countries where the virus was present.
They both tested positive, but the CDC will give a final confirmation on if it is, in fact, the coronavirus.
