PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Governor of Pennsylvania joined the KDKA Radio Morning News on Tuesday to discuss a number of topics.

One of the questions that he was asked had to do with pipeline transports and whether or not he thinks a network should be built in Pennsylvania.

"If we're going to have a healthy gas industry, we need a pipeline network, we need it here in Pennsylvania, otherwise were just going to be exporting this natural resource to Gulf States and Pennsylvanians are not going to benefit to the extent that they should," Governor Wolf said.

"I want to do what I can to help this industry succeed in the right way, environmentally and in an environmentally sound way. Economically it benefits Pennsylvania."

Pipelines are safer than tank cars as long as they are built the right way.
