PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Deer Lakes School District is offering grief counseling today for students via teleconference.
This, after a 14-year-old girl from West Deer was killed Thursday in a house fire.
Dayanna Shaffer was in the 8th grade.
She called 9-1-1 to report the fire and then died after getting trapped when part of the home collapsed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
