PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Senior Advisor to President Trump and National Chair of Trump Victory Finance Committee 2020, Kimberly Guilfoyle gave an impassioned speech at the Republican National Convention last week and she told KDKA Radio's Wendy Bell Trump even called her afterwards. “Yea, he absolutely did. He was totally thrilled with it, loved the speech, said it was outstanding. Said only I could do that with that level of enthusiasm.”

Guilfoyle said she's a high-energy person and she wants to preserve the concept of the American dream for future generations. "I feel like I'm living my best life and my American dream and I want to make sure that opportunity is provided for future generations, for my son, for everyone's children out there and family members to be able to achieve it," she said. "That's why I feel it is the most important election of our lifetime."

Guilfoyle said voters have to make a strong choice about which economic plan they want to support to re-energize the country. "We're already headed in the right direction, but Biden's plan is to raise taxes by more than $4 trillion and impose all of these regulations that literally step on the backs of small businesses, of hard working men and women, of entrepreneurs and in particular, for PA, the energy industry. It's a no-go." She said Biden "thinks he has Pennsylvania in his back pocket, but he doesn't."

The country's economy was hit hard this year when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. As she travels throughout the country campaigning for Trump, Guilfoyle said she's heard from women all over that the pandemic has been devastating for them.

“I think women in particular are getting the brunt of it. It’s brutal," said Guilfoyle. "I have a 13-year-old son, and he’s going to be starting back to school next week, and he’s actually going to go in-person. But when we think about the million of women that are moms that are also working. They’re out there working, they’re trying to provide food on the table, plus they’re trying to raise their children.

"Now imagine with some of them, with kids still at home, it’s very difficult to be able to do your job. So then you become in a bad position economically because you’re not able to provide, but at the same time, if you choose to go do the job then you worry about your child getting the right supervision at home.

"So many children, too, that really relied on school to be able to get one healthy meal a day and then not to mention proper socialization.

"So these are all the things that women and moms lie awake at night worrying about,” she said.

Donald Trump Jr., who was on KDKA Radio last Tuesday, calls Guilfoyle 'the boss' and she doesn't disagree. "Yeah, he's a smart man. I'm 100% the boss. I don't even just call myself the boss, I've said I'm the CEO, so he knows," she said laughing.
