PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - First it was the cheese at the Potato Patch, now there's this.

There are some things that you don't mess with in Pittsburgh and Heinz Ketchup is one of them.  So when it was recently discovered that Kennywood amusement park, (as much of an institution as Heinz is in Pittsburgh) switched to competitor Hunt's, people were seeing red!

We wanted to know how you felt about the switch and if you were okay with the ketchup swap.

Jim from Scott says he won't be eating anything that requires ketchup next time he visits Kennywood.

Mary Ann says it is a sign of the changing times and that the park isn't owned by a local firm thinks things are different. Even claiming the flowers aren't as pretty anymore.

John Shumway pointed out that while Kennywood may be owned by outsiders, Heinz is now too  owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway and 3G Capital.

Kennywood, Idlewild and Sandcastle are all owned by Spanish company Parques Reunidos.

Michelle from Plum told Larry and John she actually prefers Hunt's but still thinks the park should have the local stuff.

Bernie who got the final word said, "Correct me if I'm wrong, but Heinz left, we don't make Ketchup here . . . so if the Pittsburgh Steelers moved to Cleveland, I'm not a Cleveland Browns fans."

Bernie also said he prefers Heinz but Kennywood should be able to do whatever they want.

"I go there for the Jack Rabbit, not the damn ketchup!"

A Change.org petition asking Kennywood to switch back to Heinz has over 1,100 signatures as of Tuesday afternoon.

They are looking for at least 1,500 signatures.

One man took the issue into his own hands brining his own Heinz Ketchup supply to the park. When Heinz found out they rewarded him.

Hey @jmonroe111, when you #onlyridewithHeinz, we ride with you. That's why we're giving you and your grandson a summer supply of Heinz Ketchup packets and two season passes. https://t.co/RNyILi4vsb
