A new image from the set of the upcoming Fred Rogers movie “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” is proving actor Tom Hanks is a great choice for the role of our favorite neighbor.
The image released by Sony pictures shows Hanks as Rogers meeting Mathew Rhys who plays journalist Tom Junod with the set of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" seen in the background.

February 17, 2019 The move examines the real-life friendship that developed between Rogers and Junod after the writer was initially skeptical of Rogers’ kindness until he realized it wasn’t just an act for television.
“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” opens in theatres in Pittsburgh and nationwide on November 22.
The film also stars Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper. It is directed by Marielle Heller.
