(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The creator of Jelly Belly has created a new version of his famous confection, CBD-infused jelly beans.

David Klein's “Spectrum” jelly beans have been so popular that all three current versions (regular sugar-free and sour) jelly beans are all sold out for now.

The “Spectrum” beans come in packs of 800 pieces per bag in 38 flavors and will be available online after supplies are restocked. The company says each bean has 10 mg of Cannabidiol (CBD).

You have to be at least 18 years old to purchase the product.

CBD is not to be confused with THC, the chemical in marijuana that cause a person to feel a “high”.

The CBD oil is now being used to treat many ailments including Parkinson’s disease, insomnia, epilepsy, depression, anxiety, acne and more.

In Pennsylvania, a medical marijuana card is not required for CBD products, it is recommended you consult your doctor before taking CBD oil.
