PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Kennywood's general manager has resigned.
The amusement park confirmed Sunday Jerome Gibas was no longer with Kennywood but didn't say why.
The company's vice president Rick Stammel of theme parks will serve as interim GM while a nationwide search takes place to find a replacement.
Palace Entertainment COO John Reilly released the following statement:
"We would like to thank Jerome for his more than 40 years of commitment to providing the finest in family fun and entertainment at Kennywood and its sister park, Idlewild & SoakZone. Jerome's service and leadership during his time at each park are greatly valued. We wish him the best going forward."
