Lawmakers Call For Federal Inspections Of Nursing Homes To Increase

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Two Pittsburgh area Congressmen are calling on the federal government to step up inspections at nursing homes.

Democrats Mike Doyle and Conor Lamb have written the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services citing a rising number of COVID-19 deaths among residents at the Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Beaver County.

Doyle and Lamb previously called on federal health officials to release COVID-19 data for each specific nursing home.
