Man Who Beat Somali Cab Driver To Death Gets Life In Prison

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A man convicted for the beating death of a Somali cab driver in Pittsburgh has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Daniel Russell was found guilty of second degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The victim, Ramadhan Mohamed, was working as a Z-Trip cab driver for just two weeks before the attack.

Prosecutors say Russell and three other men planned the robbery.

 Mohamed's body was found on Climax Street in Beltzhoover.
