PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Butler County man was stopped at a security checkpoint Tuesday at Pittsburgh International Tuesday.
The .380 caliber handgun in his jacket was loaded with five bullets and one in the chamber.
TSA detained the man and confiscated the gun.
He told officers he forgot he had the gun with him, even though it was inches from his hand.
It's the fifth gun seized at the airport this year.
Last year, 35 guns were seized by TSA Agents at PIT.
First offenses for carrying a handgun into a checkpoint is usually $4,100.
Guns stopped by TSA agents bring security checks to a halt until the issue is resolved.
