Luke Perry's Daughter on His Death: 'I'm Not Really Sure What to Say or Do'

Luke Perry's daughter, Sophie, has spoken out about the death of her dad.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sophie, 18, wrote, "A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family, And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support."

Luke, a Beverly Hills, 90210 alum and Riverdale star, died Monday after suffering a massive stroke. He was 52. Luke was surrounded by his family, including Sophie and her brother Jack, when he died, according to his publicist. 

Sophie continued, "I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I."

Hollywood has been showing an outpouring of love for Luke after his death.

His Riverdale co-star, Molly Ringwald, tweeted, “My heart is broken...”

Former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Jennie Garth told People, "He meant so much to so many. Such a very special person."

And Ian Ziering, thinking back on their decades of friendship, said, “Dearest Luke, I will forever bask in the loving memories we've shared over the last thirty years.”
