Measles Patients Could've Exposed Even More At Additional Locations

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA- The first case of measles in Allegheny County this year was reported early last week. Then, a couple days later, four more people were announced to have the disease.

The Allegheny Health Department has released additional information on places around the area the four people could've exposed others.


"In addition to the Pittsburgh International Airport on Tuesday, April 16, during the hours of 7:30-10 a.m., and the Enterprise Rent-a-Car (2260 Babcock Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15237), on Wednesday, May 1, during the hours of 2-5 p.m., ACHD was notified that there were three additional potential public exposures at the following locations and times":

•             Milky Way restaurant (2120 Murray Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217) Wednesday, April 17: 1-4 p.m.

•             Red White & Blue Thrift Store (935 Ohio River Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15202) Wednesday, April 24: 11:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

•             National Aviary (700 Arch Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212) Sunday, April 28: 12:30-5:30 p.m.

Health Department director Dr. Karen Hacker decleared a measles outbreak last week.
