PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Roads and Port Authority bus routes will be detoured for Friday night's Light Up Night in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Closures began at 7 a.m. Friday morning, according to the
Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. Those closures will remain in place until midnight:
- Roberto Clemente (6th Street) Bridge
- Fort Duquesne Boulevard between Stanwix Street & 7th Street (riverside lanes only)
- Penn Avenue between 6th Street & Stanwix Street
- Stanwix Street between Fort Duquesne Boulevard & Liberty Avenue (northbound lanes)
- A partial closure at Cecil Place between Fort Duquesne Boulevard & Penn Avenue
Penn Avenue Extension between Stanwix Street & Gateway Center Three closed at 9 a.m. and will remain closed until mindnight.
At 4 p.m. Fourth Avenue between Stanwix Street & Wood Street will close until 9 p.m. The following roads will also close at 4 p.m. and will remain closed until midnight:
- Market Square
- Forbes Avenue between Stanwix Street & Market Square
- Graeme Street between Fifth Avenue & Market Square
- Market Street between Fifth Avenue & Market Square
- Stanwix Street between Fort Duquesne Boulevard & Liberty Avenue (southbound lanes) will close at 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Several Port Authority bus routes will be impacted by the road closures. A full list of affected routes can be found here.
