PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -- Jefferson Hills police have announced that the 81-year-old North Versailles woman who was reported missing on Monday has been found dead in her car.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Georgeanne Faison’s car was discovered by a family friend about a quarter mile off Coachran Mill Road, partially submerged in a creek, with Georgeanne inside.
Police said they believe Georegeanne, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, likely attempted to back up or turn around after driving down a private lot off of Cochran Mill Run, reaching the end of the dirt road. It is believed that, in attempting to turn around, the car rolled over a 7-to-8-inch embankment and landed upside down in the creek, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Ms. Faison last spoke to her family early Monday morning, asking her son and grandson if they had seen her husband, who passed away in July.
