PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - One person is dead following an accident on Perry Highway in Marshall Township on Friday morning.
KDKA-TV reports that it happened around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.
A fatal accident shut down a portion of Perry Highway overnight. The roadway was closed between Warrendale-Bayne Road to Freeport Road until 5:15 this morning. It's now open. We're told an SUV and tractor trailer collided around 1:30am, killing one person. pic.twitter.com/xDuxcdtsvG
— Heather Abraham (@KDKAHeather) December 27, 2019The driver of a SUV crashed into a tractor trailer as it was coming out of a bulk mail distribution center, officials on the scene said.
Police say it is possible that the victim, who remains unidentified, may have run a red light.
Perry Highway was closed and reopened around 5:15 a.m. Friday morning.
