HARRISBURG, PA (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced an additional 938 cases of COVID-19 in the state in its Thursday, May 14th update.
These new cases bring the total to 59,636 across the state of Pennsylvania. 4,217
4,217 of the positive cases have been seen in healthcare workers.
There are still cases in all 67 of Pennsylvania's counties.
There have also been an additional 44 deaths reported overnight, and an additional 231 deaths reported as a result of reconciliation of data over the past several weeks.
The statewide total is now 4,218.
To date, there have been 251,559 negative tests in Pennsylvania.
"As counties move from red to yellow, we need all Pennsylvanians to continue to follow the social distancing and mitigation efforts in place," Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said. "We must continue to protect our most vulnerable Pennsylvanians, which includes our seniors, those with underlying health issues, our healthcare workers and our first responders. I am proud of the work that Pennsylvanians have done so far, but we cannot stop now, we must continue to take the necessary steps to protect ourselves from COVID-19."
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has a digital map on their website to track the locations and densities of the positives as they are reported across the state.
