More Than 50 Inches Of Rain Have Fallen In Pittsburgh For Second Consecutive Year

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -- The National Weather Service has updated this year's precipitation numbers.

An update on Pittsburgh precipitation statistics :- 50.64" of measured precipitation this year.- Ranks 4th all-time wettest, passing 1890 yesterday.- First time on record with back-to-back years with over 50"- 160 days with >= 0.01", 14th most through 12/10 on record pic.twitter.com/HPjG4FdCKk

So far, over 50.5 inches this year has fallen, making 2019 the fourth wettest year ever with a over a half a month still to go.

It's also the first time with back-to-back years of more than 50 inches of precipitation.
