HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Even with Pennsylvania's economy and the state budget wrecked by the new Coronavirus, Governor Tom Wolf sees no tax increase to fund services.

Wolf says he doesn't think anybody is talking about a tax hike. In a statewide conference call with reporters he says the state has already reduced employees and services to limit the loss.

"Ultimately, I think the salvation is going to come with the federal government to step in and help the states, all 50 states and the territories."

As for when and how Pennsylvania gets back to business and school the governor says, "If we don't do this right, the economy is going to be in even worse shape than it is now."
