PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Original Oyster House in Market Square will be celebrating "143 Day."

On Friday, the restaurant will donate two dollars to the American Heart Association for every fish sandwich sold that day.

"143 Day" is meant to honor Fred Rogers and promote kindness. 143 was Rogers' favorite number. In 2019, Governor Tom Wolf proclaimed the 143rd day of the year to be "143 Day" in Pennsylvania.

143 was a way Rogers said “I love you”. 143 represented the number of letters in each word of the phrase. 1 (I) 4 (Love) 3 (You).

The Original Oyster House is open for take out and curbside delivery.
