PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Cases of coronavirus in Western PA continues to rise.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health released numbers on Monday that shows an additional 1,470 COVID-19 cases for a total of 12,980.


A total of 162 have died across the commonwealth

Locally, there are now:

642 cases with four deaths in Allegheny96 with six deaths in Beaver91 with two deaths in Butler53 with zero deaths in Washington157 with zero deaths in Westmoreland13 with zero deaths in Armstrong24 with two deaths in Lawrence18 with zero deaths in Mercer17 with zero deaths in Indiana12 with zero deaths in Greene 29 with one death in FayetteSix with zero deaths in Somerset Seven with zero deaths in Cambria 

That is a total of 1,165 cases and 15 dead in the area. 

Last Wednesday, Governor Tom Wolf put the entire state under a Stay-at-Home order.

All non-life essential businesses remain closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
