HARRISBURG Pa (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) The Pennsylvania Health Department adds 989 new cases of COVID-19 to the statewide total, reaching 61,611.
The Department also confirmed an additional 61 deaths, growing the total to 4,403.
Deaths in nursing and personal care homes has surpassed 3,000 deaths with 3,043.
13,257 of the total cases in the state come from patients in those same homes, and 2,075 from workers.
The cases come from 556 facilities in 44 counties.
Approximately 4,432 of the total cases are healthcare workers.
To date 266,225 tests have come back negative throughout the state.
According to Google News, there have been 260,146 recoveries from COVID-19 reported across the country, Pennsylvania has not reported any recoveries.
