PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA - Democratic leaders in Pennsylvania put together a grant program for small businesses that have not received funding from federal programs.

The first $96 million of the program has been rolled out with another $130 million to go, but State Senator Jay Costa told KDKA Radio’s Marty Griffin that may not be enough.

“So we’re proposing another round of 225, one hundred of which as you know would be carved out for restaurants and taverns and those privately owned, private venue places like the catering places to be able to build on this program,” said Costa.

This grant program is focused on helping businesses with less than 25 employees, and less than $1 million in yearly business potential.
