PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - PennDOT is looking for feedback from Pennsylvania drivers on summer construction and maintenance.
In a new survey which is available until October 22, drivers can give their thoughts on PennDOT's services and communication methods.
PennDOT's Alexis Campbel tells KDKA Radio they chose to do a survey on the summer months after a successful winter survey. It was the first statewide survey of its kind in Pennsylvania and got over 6,000 responses.
"A lot of the questions on the construction survey relate to how they perceive the roads to be, how they perceive traffic conditions to be, but also how do people get their information about closures? Do they feel that they have adequate notice of things?"
According to Campbell, responses from the winter survey resulted in major changes to the 511PA traveler information service, which are scheduled to be announced this October.
The survey is a mix of 16 matrix and open-ended questions. Pennsylvania drivers can find the survey here.
