Pennsylvania Confirms 1,116 New Cases Of COVID-19

HARRISBURG Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) In a daily press release, the state of Pennsylvania has confirmed 1,116 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 41,165 statewide.

This is another drop in new confirmed cases, Friday had 1,599, and Saturday saw 1,397.

The State Health Department also confirmed 13 new deaths from Coronavirus, bringing the total number to 1,550.

To date, there have been 157,428 tests administered across the state.

The total number of positive cases also includes probable cases.

Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:

  • Nearly 1% are aged 0-4;
  • Nearly 1% are aged 5-12;
  • 1% are aged 13-18;
  • Nearly 6% are aged 19-24; 
  • Nearly 38% are aged 25-49; 
  • Nearly 27% are aged 50-64; and
  • Nearly 26% are aged 65 or older.

Nursing and personal care homes have confirmed 6,813 cases in residents and 822 in employees between 431 facilities.

952 deaths have come from residents in these homes.
