PHILADELPHIA (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pennsylvania Republican Party will look for a new permanent chairman after the sudden resignation of Val DiGrigorio of Chester County.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported he sent sexually explicit messages to a female Republican candidate running for Philadelphia council.

The woman, Irina Goldstein, said she was seeking advice and support and after some time the messages turned explicit with him sending her a photo of his penis.

DiGrigorio says the messages were consensual.
