PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is set to reopen this weekend after being closed since March as a result of the mandated closures throughout Pennsylvania amind the Coronavirus pandemic.
Phipps will open to the public on Saturday, June 13 with a number of safety measures in place:
- Tickets must be purchased in advance
- Masks are required for all staff and guests (age 2 and older)
- Buests must maintain a six foot distance from each other
- Hands-on activities will not be available
- Hand sanitizers stations will be located throughout the Conservatory
- A limited number of tickets will be sold to limit the numbers of guests
Counties in Southerwestern Pennsylvania, with the exception of Beaver County, moved into the green phase of reopening on June 5.
