The City of Pittsburgh is once again on a Top 10 style list. This time it's among those that are the best cities for young professionals.
The SmartAsset study ranks Pittsburgh at #8 on their list, partly due to its population. More than 20 percent are ages 25-35.
Also factored into consideration are things like average rent as a precentage of income.

- Sioux Falls, SD
- Omaha, NE
- Concinnati, OH
- Overland Park, KS
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Atlanta, GA
- Lexington, KY
The May unemployment rate is also factored in for cities. According to the study, Pittsburgh's unemployent rate was more than 13 percent.
A separate study showed that the leisure and hospitality industry saw a steep decline in Pittsburgh making it one of the hardest hit industries due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
