PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - There are calls across the country to defund the police. This includes in Pittsburgh.

President of the Pittsburgh Fraternal Order of Police, Bob Swartzwelder, does not think that would be a good idea.

“Your only alternative then, would be the U.S. Military,” Swartzwelder explains. “That is not what military is for. They are not to be dealing with these local, criminal type problems, or social disorder problems.”

You can listen to the full conversation with Swartzwelder below to learn more.
