PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The chairman of the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Pittsburgh will still be marching on Saturday morning.
"After mass, I don't know what anybody else is doing, but I can tell you what I'm doing; I'm going to walk the parade route," said Chairman Jeff McCafferty during an interview with the KDKA Radio Morning Show. "Won't be much of a parade, it will just be a big 300-pound Irishman walking down Grant Street."
The mayor's office decided to cancel the parade's permit.
"That was a directive coming from higher up than the mayor's office," McCafferty explains.
