PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The New Jersey man who was found dead in the Ohio River New Year’s Eve morning apparently killed himself.

On December 30, Port Authority Police found 48-year-old Drew Camoosa downtown walking along the railroad tracks near the East Busway. Camoosa's family had reported him missing and believed he was suicidal.

Officers took him to Western Psych to be involuntarily committed for up to 72 hours.

AlleghenyCounty Police want to know why Camoosa was discovered about 14 hours later in the water near the Emsworth Lock and Dam in Ohio Township.
