
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny County Police have made and arrest in connection with an armed robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning in Kennedy Township.
Police were called to the GetGo in the 4900 block of Steubenville Pike around 4:40 a.m. after a black male wearing a red plaid shirt, black sweat pants and carrying a backpack approached the register.
While at the register the man pulled a double barrel shotgun out and pointed it toward the cashier demanding money.
During an investigation into the robbery, police learned that the suspect had been involved with another male in several other robberies around the area, driving a Chrysler Pacifica with Maryland plates.
Two robberies were reported on August 3 at similar businesses in Monessen and in Rostraver Township.
One August 4, another robbery occurred at a convenience store in New Eagle, Washington County.
Working with police agencies in three counties, Allegheny County police identified the suspects as 23-year-old Rexford Enoch Prince-Wright and 22-year-old Elijah Sayon, both from Hagerstown, MD.
Both men were found in Swissvale early Wednesday morning. The shotgun was also in their possession.
The suspects were taken into custody and are charged with Robbery and other offenses.
