PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) The Allegheny County Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced it will be closing Prospect Road, between Beryl Drive and the Carapel Townhouses in Baldwin.
The road closure is set to start at 9:00 a.m. on Monday 14, and will remain closed until October 2020, with periodic single-lane closure through the month of November.
The closure is needed to add a rock embankment, barrier, and erosion control against a landslide area.
Excavation, drainage repairs, grubbing and clearing, milling, and paving will also occur during the road closure.
Port Authority of Pittsburgh says that the only routs affected by the closure is the Y49-Prospect Flyer.
