PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Warrants are out for a woman accused of attempting to set fire to two pizza shops.
Authorities says video footage shows Nicole Jo Dawson attempting to set fire to Pizza Milano on Fifth Avenue and Cafe Milano on 6th Street Tuesday evening.
The 36-year-old Dawson is a prominent protestor for issues dealing with race.
According to a criminal complaint Dawson walked into Pizza Milano with a green bottle that had cloth sticking out of it. She then lit the cloth on fire and through it into a fryer in the kitchen.
Later, video footage shows Dawson lighting a fire in a garbage can in the women's bathroom at Café Milano.
Dawson faces multiple charges including Aggravated Arson.
Pizza Milano was the scene of several protests after a male manager got into a physical altercation with an African American Woman last year.
