
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A raccoon in Frazier Township has tested positive for rabies.
It was picked up by the Pennsylvania Game Commission near Days Run and Kurn Roads.
It is the eight rabid animal found in Allegheny County this year, five raccoons, one bat, one groundhog and one cat.
Anyone who notices unusual behavior in Animals (acting strange or becoming threatening) are asked to call local animal control, the police or the PA Game Commission.
The Allegheny County Health Department reminds people to make sure their pets are up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.
